Eco Tour
The land area of Myanmar is 261228 square miles, with a variety
of natural resources, plants and animals. There are over 7000 plants
and over 1000 endemic species. Also, there are about 1000 bird
species, 300 mammals, 350 reptiles are recorded. The richness of the
biodiversity in nature gives Myanmar a way for Ecotourism.

Yangon Zoological Garden
Yangon Zoological Garden was establishment in 1906. 59 species of
mammals 60 species of birds and 18 species of reptiles, amounting to
over 1300 species are kept in addition, elephant, rhinoceros, tapir,
hippopotamus, camel, tiger, lion, deer, various species of monkeys,
snake, tortoise, crocodile and various species of birds, a pair of
tusks of the white elephant during the region of King Thibaw,
skeleton of a whale 72 feet in length and a statue of Stegosaurus
are exhibited.

Popa Mountain Park
Popa Mountain park was established in 1983 and opened as park in
1989. You can observe Monkey, barking deer, wild pig, jungle cat,
wild dog and about 140 avifauna species inhabit in the Popa area.
The dusky leaf monkey is a scare animal and about 150 monkeys live
in the Popa Mountain.
Shwesettaw Wildlife Sanctuary
This sanctuary is located in Minbu forest division, on the
western edge of the Myanmar dry zone, between Mann and Mone streams.
Accessible by road and is about two hours' drive from Minbu. It
covers a total area of about 553 km2. Many species of animals
including Eld's deer, gaur, banteng, sorrow, sandbur, hog deer, wild
boar, leopard, bear wild dogs, various kinds of birds, and some
species of primates are reported to be inhabiting in this sanctuary.
Sein-Ye Forest Camp (Bago Yoma)
Located at a distance of about 200Km from Yangon. It lies in the
amidst of the Sein Ye teak forest, a part of Bago Yoma, and offers
experience in witness the logging methods and the utilization of
elephants. Men of Kayin people in the area make their incomes by
working as oozies, living with and training the elephants to work in
the forests.
Hlawga Wildlife Park
Hlawga Wildlife Park was established on 30 September 1982. You
can Observe ecological study on Thamin, hog deer, barking deer,
sambar deer, etc., in their natural state and enjoy out-door
recreation such as picnic sites, traditional huts, boats and
elephant rides.
Moeyingyi Wetland Wildlife Sanctuary
Moeyingyi Wetland Wildlife Sanctuary (70 miles from Yangon along
the Yangon - Bago - Pyinpongyi Highway), was established in 1986.
According to the census conducted in January, 1998 it is noted that
a total number of (4529)birds inhabited in the Moeyingyi wetland
wildlife sanctuary.

Indawgyi Lake Wildlife Sanctuary
Indawgyi lake Wildlife Sanctuary was established in 1999.
Leopard, golden cat, the malaya sun bear, gaur, banteng or wild cow,
serow, goral, sport-billed pelican, vulture, other water birds, 120
species of forest birds Myanmar peacock and Soft-shell turtle are
present
Myeik (Pearl of the Archipealago)
Myeik Archipelago is located in the southern most part of
Myanmar, comprising more than 800 Islands over 1400 square miles
area in the Andaman sea. Archipelago runs from Mali Island in the
morth to Zardetgyi Island south-west of Bayinnaug. Point where
Myanmar land ends. Most of Islands are inhabited.
Only Salone tribe like Seagyipsies are inhabiting there. They
live in small boats or houses built on stilts located in the along
the coast. They are experts divers and make a living searching for
oysters and mother of pearl. Pearl diving and culture of pearl are
developed on these Islands, particularly Pale Kyum (Pearl Island)85
miles south of Myeik.
Lampi Island 65 miles by 30 miles with green mountain ranges of
1500 feet sea level, beautiful beaches. coral reefs, clear water and
undisturbed wild life are being turned into a Marine national park.
In myeik Archipelago, there are boat trips, diving, swimming,
fishing, snorkeling and study of Marine species and wild life, flora
and fauna are very attracted by foreign tourists as eco-tourism as
well as adventure destination Myeik Archipelago can be reached by
boat from Mreik or Kawthaung. There is a newly built Andaman Club
Resort on Thahtay Kyun Island,10 minutes drive by power boat from
Kawthaung, the most convenient entry point to Myeik Archipelago.
